Start by decluttering high-traffic areas like the living room, dining room, and kitchen. Make sure these spaces are clean, organized, and ready to accommodate guests during holiday gatherings.
Designate spaces in your home for different holiday activities. Have a specific area for gift wrapping, a place for food preparation, and a section for coats and bags when guests arrive.
Sort through your decorations and determine what to keep, donate, or toss. Obviously get rid of any broken decorations, think about donating any outdated decorations that you may not like anymore. store all items you’re keeping in storage bins that are clearly labeled. All of this will make holiday prep so much easier to decorate when the time comes.

If you’re expecting overnight guests, get ahead by preparing your guest rooms or sleep areas. Make sure linens are fresh, storage is available, and the space is free from clutter.
